NSLC Women's Committee Honors International Women's Day with a showing of "9-5: The Story of a Movement"

"To celebrate International Women's Day the NSLC held a viewing of the documentary "9 to 5: The story of a movement". The documentary chronicles the story of 10 women tired of being underpaid, sexually harassed, and unable to advance their careers who ORGANIZED. Starting with a newsletter to within a few year launching a nation wide movement . For all of us watching, the film was a stark reminder of the indignities we endured. Here we are 50 + years later and we have to fight for bodily autonomy. As trade unionists we need to redouble our efforts to organize and build solidarity for all workers."

- Kathleen Santora NSLC E-board and delegate from IUPAT DC 35.
