General Reminder that the Massachusetts Primary vote is this next Tuesday (9/3) right after Labor Day! Please use this link to check your voter registration status and where your nearest polling location is. 

Also, in addition to our NSLC endorsed candidates, the MA AFL-CIO has put together this handy guide to their pro-labor endorsed candidates. See you at the polls!

The North Shore Labor Council was proud to stand with Starbucks Workers United for their Red for Bread weekend! We had a great time engaging the community and discussing the benefits of being in a union. The amount of support customers expressed for their union baristas was amazing. The North Shore is union country!

We wish to give a special thanks to members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association for speaking to us at our delegate’s meeting. Nurses at Salem Hospital have been in bargaining for months trying to reach a new collective bargaining agreement, but progress has stalled on the major issues that nurses are faced with. Our council stands in full support with workers at Salem Hospital. Stay tuned for more updates and ways to get involved.

Job Board

Multiple of our community partners organizations are currently looking for full-time staff positions. 

Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) is looking for a Lynn Chapter Organizer. N2N is a member-led, community-based, civic engagement organization dedicated to achieving economic and environmental justice. For more info about the position and how to apply, click here

New Lynn Coalition is looking for a full-time Program Organizer. The New Lynn Coalition is an alliance of community, faith, and labor organizations dedicated to transforming Lynn into a city of equity and opportunity for all. For details about the position and how to apply, click here

Solidarity with the Salem Teacher’s Union for reaching a tentative agreement after months of contract bargaining! Congrats to all the STU organizers, officers, members, AFT staff, and everyone that made this happen. Good luck with ratification!

The North Shore Labor Council is excited to announce this year's family cookout! On September 28th we'll be gathering to relax, socialize, and eat some delicious food. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers will be available, but feel free to bring any snacks, side dishes, or desserts!
